Avnet, one of Arizona's largest employers and a Fortune 50 corporation, has been running the Avnet Tech Games for several years. Students compete in a variety of technically challenging "games" such as building robots, solar-powered devices, high-speed computers, even making marketing pitches and designing factory floors.

AAEE is the state branch of the National Association for Environmental Education. Rather than being satisfied with the national association’s turnkey website template, AAEE worked with Z-Com Creative to develop an entirely custom user experience.

Intraoperative Monitoring Services (IMS) sends technicians into neural surgery suites all over the Valley to monitor and report back on data generated during surgery. They needed a secure solution for gathering patient and case data in the field. We did that, and much more.

We started by learning all we could about IMS' business at every level: How cases are scheduled, how technicians use their technology, how their reading physicians review the materials from the case, how billing takes place.

The Animal Defense League of Arizona and Z-Com Creative are long-time friends. We love their mission and have had a close relationship with its leadership for many years. What better candidate for our proof-of-concept of our Association in a Box product?

We felt ADLA had a lot of needs common to nonprofits: a communication and organizational hub for an active membership, social media tools, a resource directory, and basically a need to work with a diverse population of users.

The SMPS website is a robust custom website solution for a trade association. Working within a very narrow budget, Z-Com Creative built a site featuring news, event registration, easy navigation and a job bank bulletin board for members. The landing page features a random slideshow of photos taken at SMPS events over the years.

SMPSArizona.org is built on a custom CMS solution and is entirely run by volunteers.

Z-Com Creative has built two websites for Brignall Construction. The first is their corporate front-end site, a relatively simple portfolio site featuring descriptions and photographs from their many hundreds of client projects. There’s also a simple news feed on the site. All content is managed by the client, via a custom-built content management system. We also set up Excel exports of the project database so the client can work with the data while pursuing bids.

Patrick Burt is an artisan jewelry sculptor in Tempe. Pat does great work but has to compete with big-name jewelers and chain operations. Z-Com Creative built a robust, searchable product catalog for Patrick Burt Studios, featuring various taggable criteria, Paypal integration, and a couple photos of each item. The catalog currently features several hundred items, all managed by the client.

Tempe Preparatory Academy is a charter college prep school. Their goal was to have a forward-facing online strategy, with community (teacher and student) generated content driving most of the site. Z-Com Creative developed a robust social-media style site for TPA, which ran with limited success for about a year. We learned a lot about working with nonprofits and volunteers through this project.
